Meals

The food at all the hotels, camps, and lodges in our portfolio ranges from very good to exceptional/gourmet. The kitchens all have extensive experience accommodating special dietary needs, including life-threatening allergies. If you have specific dietary requirements, no matter how big or small, please let us know in advance and the properties will take the necessary measures to ensure that you have an enjoyable and safe culinary experience while on safari.

Health / Personal

If you have any physical or medical conditions that may be pertinent to your safari, please inform us as early as possible so that we can make necessary arrangements to improve the quality of your trip. If you have mobility issues, for example, we can request a room close to the main area, etc.

If you or any of your group weighs more than 220 pounds, please let us know so that the air charter company can be informed and necessary arrangements can be made (most charter companies will require you to buy an extra seat on flights). This is very important for safety reasons!

Private Flights and Activities

Unless private charter flights are specifically requested, you will share flights to/from/between camps and lodges with others, and the flights may make stops en route to pick up and drop off passengers (typically no more than two stops per routing). Private charter flights need to be booked in advance, and tend to be very expensive.

Similarly, unless otherwise requested, you will share activities with other guests at your safari camp or lodge (safari properties typically allocate a maximum of 6-8 guests per guide/vehicle). To prevent overcrowding of wilderness areas, most camps and lodges have just one additional vehicle that can be rented for private activities, so this service would need to be arranged well in advance of travel. The additional cost for a private vehicle/guide varies widely among camps and lodges, but is typically in the region of $500-$1,000 per day. Most properties require families with children under 12 to hire a private vehicle/guide.
